Roanoke College was named to the Top 100 Social Media Colleges list, published by Student Advisor. We were ranked #22 to be exact and were the only school from Virginia in the top 25.
We are in good company with Duke at #18, Brown at #20, Yale at #24 and Dartmouth at #25.
Their comments about Roanoke were: “Exceptional use of video on their site. Even the Roanoke web team has a great blog.”
They compute the rankings by looking at how schools engage their audiences on Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and other social media tools. The methodology takes into account the size of each school, among other things.

That’s really impressive. You and Michael should consider presenting at the next College Communicators Association conference in the Fall.
